Having made several major career changes himself. Dr Woolfson is particularly well qualified to help doctors with their career decisions. He has been an NHS consultant, and an independent physician in Portugal, and a medical writer. He now works partly as a locum consultant in general medicine, diabetes, endocrinology and renal medicine and partly as the director of Creative Careers
He is an experienced editor and presenter, and has continued his own learning in areas as diverse as corporate and executive coaching, neurolinguistic programming, business, marketing and website development and promotion.
Dr Woolfson is developing Creative Careers into a major resource for medical students, doctors at all stages of their careers and all those concerned with training and career planning for medical staff.
The very rapid pace of change in the structure and function of the NHS, and in the requirements of medical training make it difficult for doctors to be certain that the choices they make will take them into happy and successful careers. The mission of Creative Careers is to help as many of them as possible to do so.
